Join the World Corporate Golf Challenge Malaysia 2009 ( “WCGC” ) you and your team may just win an all expense paid trip to the World Final to be held at the prestigious golf course of the La Manga Club in Spain.
WCGC Malaysia 2009 is a golfing tournament that offers amateur golfers to compete at professional level in a world class golf tournament, globally televised. The top three teams from the qualifying leagues (and it could be yours) will advance to the National Final, to be held on 3 June 2009 at the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club. The ultimate winning team will be deemed the Malaysian Champion and will have the honor of representing Malaysia at the World Final to be held at the Hyatt Regency Golf Club in La Manga Spain from 29 June -3 July 2009.
The WCGC is the world's premier amateur corporate golf tournament. Conceived in the United Kingdom in 1993, it now has more than half a million golfers participated in more than 20 countries. The World Final will be a 3 x 18 hole golf competition played over 3 days with more than 20 national teams from all over the world competing.
Skysports will televise the World Final and will be an one-hour highlight to be broadcasted throughout the world with more than 6 million viewers.
The 3 magnificent golf courses of La Manga Spain designed by Robert Dean Putnam and Dave Thomas have played host to several years of the WCGC World Final and 5 times the Spanish Open. The Champion team will enjoy not only 2 practice rounds and 2 tournament rounds on one of the best resort courses in Europe but also a chance to mingle and mix with finalist teams from other countries, plus of course loads of peripheral events like Pre-Event Welcome Cocktail and Coat and Tie Gala Dinner prize giving.
The WCGC Malaysia 2009 is open to any company, organization, partnership, association or body (except for golf associations) based in Malaysia. Each team comprises of 4 players of which one player must be from the company/ organization that he/she represents . Format is stableford, ¾ of handicap, best three scores of a team of 4 players hole by hole.
Please note that for the Champion title, the WCGC Tournament Committee only accepts golfers with a minimum handicap of 24 for men and 36 for women and holding a valid NHS Handicap Certificate.

Easy steps to glory: -
- Register your company - enter a team of 4 players, of which one player must employed by the company he/she represent
- the top 3 teams from each qualifying round will proceed to the national final at the Glenmarie GCC on 3rd June 2009
- win the National Final and proceed to La Manga, Spain
The rules of the tournament and registration form are attached. To submit your entry, please complete and return the Registration Form to the Event Organizer with copies (photostat) of each players' handicap certificate (NHS).
The Registration Fee is RM 2,600 per team, and for any one player who has participated in any WCGC previous tournaments will be entitled to a group discount of RM 400.
